Frequently Asked Questions

What is being recalled and why? 

Unilever U.S. is voluntarily recalling select Knorr Sopa Soup Mix products because the products may contain egg, which is not listed as an ingredient on the label. Persons who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. 

The following Knorr Products are subject to recall:

How do I know if my product is affected?

Please click “Get Started” on the homepage to check if your product is affected and to submit a reimbursement request. Please note that you will be required to provide one photo that includes every impacted product that you have. The photo should be of the back of the package and should clearly show the UPC barcode and Best If Used By Date for each product.

Can I use the product if I don’t have an egg allergy?

Once you have made your reimbursement request with a photo of all of the impacted products that you have, you should discard the product, even if you do not have an egg allergy.

What should I do if I have product that is affected?

If you have a Knorr product that is part of this recall, please do not use the product. Go to “Get Started” on the bottom of the home page to submit a reimbursement request. Please note that you will be required to provide one photo that includes every impacted product that you have. The photo should be of the back of the package and should clearly show the UPC barcode and Best If Used By Date for each product.

Once you have submitted the photo, please dispose of  the product with household trash. If you have any questions, we are here to help at (800) 671-5909, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 9 pm EST.

How do I get a reimbursement?

Please click “Get Started” on the homepage to submit a reimbursement request. Please note that you will be required to provide one photo that includes every impacted product that you have. The photo should be of the back of the package and should clearly show the UPC barcode and Best If Used By Date for each product.  Shortly after you submit you will receive a confirmation email from info@astutebot.com.

Once your submission has been verified, you will receive a reimbursement check that covers the suggested retail price for all of the impacted products you have. Please be sure to submit one picture of all the products you have, see example below.

How long will it take to get my reimbursement?

You can expect to receive your reimbursement within approximately 8-10 weeks.

How can I be sure this won’t happen again? 

Based on our investigation, we are confident that the issue was limited to these select UPCs and lot codes (Best If Used By Dates.) We are implementing corrective actions with the supplier to ensure this is not repeated. 

Are any other Unilever or Knorr products affected by this recall? 

No other Unilever or Knorr products are affected. You can continue to use them.
